Spotted: Holiday Spice Collection 2016

So Maybelline lauched a new collection for this years autumn holiday and they are just too cute! Fitting to all the recent crazes, they are called Vanilla Cupcake and Chai Tea Latte and the are a cool burgundy and a sweet pink tone, perfect for fall. To our knowledge they are available in America. Unfortunatly we can'z give you any closer review, as we have not yet been able to get our hands on these, but as soon as we do, you'll get a detailed review :)

Collection addition and review: Peach Punch

It should have actually taken longer to delivier, so we were more than happy to see that our newly ordered Baby Lips were already in the mail.
Through Amazon we have purchased Peach Punch which belongs to the Vitamin Shot collection. As we already told you, you can only buy Melon Mania in Germany, so we have to order the other two Baby Lips in this collection (Peach Punch and Orange Burst) online.

The packaging comes in the suble blue-minty and red-orangy colours which fit perfectly to the pleasent peach fragrance of the balm. The colour of the actual product is a faint pink, however it doesn't transfer any colour onto the lips. It has a creamy texture and gives your lips a subtle shine, perfect for spring and summer, for which this collection is designed.

As we said in our previous post, we were also getting some Baby Lips Crystals. And now we can finally add them to our collection; (150)Mirrored Mauve, (145)Beam Of Blush and (130)Crystal Kiss. They all smell amazing, especially Beam of Blush, which smells of bubblegum. A detailed review will follow when we have them all and do a collection overview.

New Winter Baby Lips Limited Edition 2015

Like in the previous winter/ fall times, Maybelline has launched a winter limited edition Baby Lips Collection. It contains the following:

Spice It Up!
Mint Please

These are how they are called in the US, for all you UK people, these are the names these new Baby Lips were given in the United Kingdom:

Sugar Cookie (= Sprinked Pink)
Hot Cocoa (=Cocoa Crush)
Sweet Apple (=Spice It Up!)
Mint Candy (= Mint Please)

The UK edition also features cute little mittens on the packaging which unfortunately did not make it onto the US version.

Collection overview: The Candy Wow Collection

The Candy Wow collection was only recently launched by Maybelline, and is of course only available in some regions -.- so we had to order them. We found three of the six Candy Wows on LipBalmLand and are still on the lookout for the others ones to complete our collection.

On the picture you can see from left to right Raspberry, Cherry and Mixed-Berry. As we said, we are still looking for ways to get our hands on the othe ones, maybe one of you stumbled across a website were you can order them relativly pricey?

The packaging is completely new, now in a long jumbo pencil form. They are bigger than the usual Baby Lips packaging, there is however not more product in them, which is kind of dissappointing. The colours are very opaque, nearly like a lipstick and have a slight shimmer. The individual scents are all prominent, but not too overpowering. All in all we must say the new Baby Lips are definitly an eyecatcher and not only because of the packaging :)

Our order has arrived!

Finally!

After what seemed like forever our package we had ordered from LipBalmLand finally arrived. First off we have got to admit that the website didn't seem extremely legit to us, but everything worked out fine. The Baby Lips were due to arrive within 2 weeks, however it took them a little longer. We assume that that is because of the German customs though, as the import from Australia is strictly controlled here. Unfortunately we had to pay an extra sum of money to the German customs. It wasn't much, but we would have appreciated LipBalmLand letting us know about this in advance, since they do ship internationally and this probably would have occurred at previous orders.

Now on to the packaging and the actual products.

The Baby Lips were wrapped very neatly and secure and there were no scratches or anything of the sort on the product. We were also very kindly gifted a little lipbalm called 'Unicorn Farts'. So we are totally content with the handling and customer service of LipBalmLand.  
We had ordered the Baby Lips Mixed-Berry, Raspberry  and Cherry from the Candy Wow collection and also Berry Crush out of the Loves Color edition to complete said collection.

Updates on the ordered Baby Lips are coming soon and till then stay addicted :)

Update: Melon Mania

As we already told you three weeks ago, 2 of the 3 Baby Lips from the 'Vitamin Shot' very supposed to be available in Germany from August onwards. We went to all of the drugstores and pharmacies in our area, but we could only find Melon Mania, but not Peach Punch.We assume that Peach Pnch will not be stocked at all, as there was only ever one new space made free in the lip balm section f the pharmacies and a specific pharmacy responded to our inquiry of the restocking of the new Vitamin collection with the words "we will be stocking Melon Mania starting from August". That's a bit dissappointing, but what can you do except find cheap online sells :)

Collection overview: The Dr. Rescue Collection (Skinny Tubes)

One of the smallest collection of all Baby Lips is probably the Dr. Rescue one in the skinny tubes. Don't mix these up with the Dr. Rescue collection that is sold in the USA and most of Europe; that one contains six. But back to this collection. The two lip balms are very similar in their minty scent and rich, creamy texture. If you don't like minty scents, thn these balms are definetly not for you; the scent is pretty strong. But if you don't mind that, then you can enjoy these very moisturizing Baby Lips. They are only available in some Asian countries unfortiunately, but thank god for Ebay and Amazon!

Collection overview: The Loves Color Collection

Those of you out there who love it colourful are going to love this collection, cause not only you love colour, Baby Lips love colour too haha. The Baby Lips Loves Color collection contains five lip balms in skinny tubes. They are mostly sold in Asian countries, Australia and New Zealand. Unfortunatly, we only have four of them in our collection at the moment, but the one still missing is already ordered and on the way to us as I type. So as soon as it gets here, we will update you on that one.
All of these lip balm have a really cue and colourful packaging, all add a nice not too faint but not too visible colour to the lips when applied and have a rich, creamy texture.

Collection addition and review: Melon Mania

Like we said in our last post about the Vitamin Shot collection, they were suppost to be available in Germany soon and lucky us were able to find Melon Mania! We picked up the last two from Budni for 2,45€ each, they unfortiunately only had Melon Mania, but of course we'll keep our eyes open for the other Baby Lip that was suppost to come out at the same time; Peach Punch. But now, on to the review of Melon Mania!

Melon Mania comes along in a cute pastel green packaging with pink writing. The actual lip balm has the same bright pink as the writing. Apllied on the lips it is very sheer though. The scent isn't that strong, but it smells of melon ice cream. The texture is a very light one, not too creamy and also not too "runny" which is perfect for these last summer weeks. On the packaging it describes the balm as a "moisturing lip balm with a hint of colour" tat is suppost to "wake up the beauty of your lips with sparkling fruity shades" that makes your "lips stay hydrated for 8 hours leaving them sweet and beautiful". Well, as always, about that "8 hours moisture" claim we can't really agree on that, calculate with a max of 3 hours, but the scent and looks of this cute Baby Lips totally make up for it!

In Italy Maybelline has recently launched a new edition of Baby Lips: the "Vitamin Shot" collection. Time to get excited! There are three Baby Lips in this colletion:

Peach Punch







Melon Mania was already part of the first Limited Edition and Orange Burst looks a lot like Coral Crush. However Peach Punch is completly new.
According to the Maybelline website, these Baby Lips have a "vitamin-enriched formula that reveals the natural beauty of your lip". They are only available in Italy at the moment and we could not yet find them online, but they are suppost to be in stores in Germany by the end of August. We'll keep you updated!

Collection overview: The Electro Collection

And here we have the next collection overview for you; as you could already tell by the blog title: the Electro Collection. These all come in a cute black packaging, and the writing is in the actual lip balm colour. They all have pretty vibrant colours, hence the name Electro. If you're just looking for a slightly tinted balm, you're gonna be dissappointed by Strike A Rose, Pink Shock and Berry Bomb, but Oh! Orange!, Minty Sheer and Fierce and Tangy would be good options for you then.
