Our favourite Baby Lips #1

We wanted to start writing about our personal favourite Baby Lips, so here we go staring off with Anti-Oxidant Berry. It's part of the Standard collection in the skinny tubes and available in stores in Australia, New Zealand and some Asian countries. It comes in a cute baby-blue and baby-pink coloured packaging, which really harmonises great. The colour of the actual balm is a faint, soft pink and its texture is creamy and rich, which makes it a very moisturizing balm. Maybelline claims that it is suppost to give "Instant 8hrs moisture" and "rejuvinated lips in one week". However good the moisturizing properties may be, it does not last 8 hours. At max it might last 3 hours, but that is totally fine with us, the berry, slighty bubbleyummy scent and cute packaging really make up for it. The second claim however we can confirm; in our opinion this Baby Lip actually make a difference to the appearance of the lips in a matter of one week.

You are best to try it out for yourself, and if you like most of us sadly can't pick this one up in your local pharmacy, you can get this at reasonable pricing on ebay or Amzon.

Collection overview: The Dr. Rescue Collection (Skinny Tubes)

One of the smallest collection of all Baby Lips is probably the Dr. Rescue one in the skinny tubes. Don't mix these up with the Dr. Rescue collection that is sold in the USA and most of Europe; that one contains six. But back to this collection. The two lip balms are very similar in their minty scent and rich, creamy texture. If you don't like minty scents, thn these balms are definetly not for you; the scent is pretty strong. But if you don't mind that, then you can enjoy these very moisturizing Baby Lips. They are only available in some Asian countries unfortiunately, but thank god for Ebay and Amazon!

Collection overview: The Loves Color Collection

Those of you out there who love it colourful are going to love this collection, cause not only you love colour, Baby Lips love colour too haha. The Baby Lips Loves Color collection contains five lip balms in skinny tubes. They are mostly sold in Asian countries, Australia and New Zealand. Unfortunatly, we only have four of them in our collection at the moment, but the one still missing is already ordered and on the way to us as I type. So as soon as it gets here, we will update you on that one.
All of these lip balm have a really cue and colourful packaging, all add a nice not too faint but not too visible colour to the lips when applied and have a rich, creamy texture.

Collection addition and review: Melon Mania

Like we said in our last post about the Vitamin Shot collection, they were suppost to be available in Germany soon and lucky us were able to find Melon Mania! We picked up the last two from Budni for 2,45€ each, they unfortiunately only had Melon Mania, but of course we'll keep our eyes open for the other Baby Lip that was suppost to come out at the same time; Peach Punch. But now, on to the review of Melon Mania!

Melon Mania comes along in a cute pastel green packaging with pink writing. The actual lip balm has the same bright pink as the writing. Apllied on the lips it is very sheer though. The scent isn't that strong, but it smells of melon ice cream. The texture is a very light one, not too creamy and also not too "runny" which is perfect for these last summer weeks. On the packaging it describes the balm as a "moisturing lip balm with a hint of colour" tat is suppost to "wake up the beauty of your lips with sparkling fruity shades" that makes your "lips stay hydrated for 8 hours leaving them sweet and beautiful". Well, as always, about that "8 hours moisture" claim we can't really agree on that, calculate with a max of 3 hours, but the scent and looks of this cute Baby Lips totally make up for it!

Spotted: New Baby Lips Edition 2015 "Vitamin Shot"

In Italy Maybelline has recently launched a new edition of Baby Lips: the "Vitamin Shot" collection. Time to get excited! There are three Baby Lips in this colletion:

Melon Mania

Orange Burst

Peach Punch

Melon Mania was already part of the first Limited Edition and Orange Burst looks a lot like Coral Crush. However Peach Punch is completly new.
According to the Maybelline website, these Baby Lips have a "vitamin-enriched formula that reveals the natural beauty of your lip". They are only available in Italy at the moment and we could not yet find them online, but they are suppost to be in stores in Germany by the end of August. We'll keep you updated!

Collection overview: The Electro Collection

And here we have the next collection overview for you; as you could already tell by the blog title: the Electro Collection. These all come in a cute black packaging, and the writing is in the actual lip balm colour. They all have pretty vibrant colours, hence the name Electro. If you're just looking for a slightly tinted balm, you're gonna be dissappointed by Strike A Rose, Pink Shock and Berry Bomb, but Oh! Orange!, Minty Sheer and Fierce and Tangy would be good options for you then.

Collection overview: The Standard Collection (Skinny Tubes)

Next up in our Collection overview series we are going to briefly review the Standard collection in the skinny tubes for you. It's not really a full collection in any country, rather a compiled collection of all standard collections in the skinny tubes. You can mostly buy them in an actual store in Asian countries and Australia and New Zealand. Compared to the "normal" Standard collection that you can find in the US and most Europeen countires, these lip balm have a more creamy texture and are all transparent. The scents are also pretty straight up that what it's named after.

Collection overview: The Standard Collection

We wanted to kind of give you an overview of each collection, so you can decide which Baby Lips you would like to buy if you are having trouble deciding if ordering "rare" Baby Lips is going to be worth your money. So today we are going to start off with the Standard collection;
The Standard Collection can be found in most Europeen countries and in the US, wheras not all Europeen countires have all of these in their standard collection and you can also not purchase Intensive Care in the US. Most of these balms are sheer, but there are also some slighty tinted balms there for your not-wanting-to-wear-lipstick-but -still-want-colour-needs.

Hydrate/ Quenched:
It is called Quenched in the US, in every other country it's called Hydrate.
Scent: very hard to describe, to us, it kind of just smells like lip balm

This one is not a part of the Standard collection in the US.

Order Baby Lips Online: Lip Balm Land

As we have already said in previous posts, you can't get a hold of all Baby Lips in every country. In Fact, you probably won't be able to get most of them, unless you live in the US. So for everyone out there who wants to expand their collection, but doesn't want to spend tons of money by ordering of Ebay or Amazon, we want to hare one of our favourite sites; Lip Balm Land.
It is an Australian website, but it ships to nearly any location at very reasionable price. As the name suggests, it does not only have Baby Lips on offer, but also tons of other lip balms like Ben & Jerry's. The only downside is, that they do not have all Baby Lips on offer, but if you are looking to gt mor Baby Lips, it's definitly worth a look!

Baby Lips Master List

We wanted to start off our blog with a complete list of all Baby Lips ever produced up until now. For some reason, Maybelline is really bad at marketing and/or making Baby Lips availible in all countires where Maybelline products are sold, so it may be that you won't be able to pick all of them up. Where we live, you can only purchase the Standart Collection and the Electro Collection, so we had to order a bunch online and completing our collections is still a work in progress! This list will regularly be updated when new Baby Lips are available, so it will always be up to date.
